HOW DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT REPRESENT PARTICULAR SOCIAL GROUPS?

My images are stereotypical, as this then allows the images to be associated with the genre and then doesn't cause any confusion. However, my main image does not include any stereotypical elements. NME, for example, (please click here to go to their official website) does a similar style, however although my magazine is aimed towards the indie genre, it also has attributes towards the fashion aspect of the magazine, and as its' target audience is girls, they would also be appealed to the more feminine, fashionable aspects of the indie genre rather than being solely based on the actual music. The body language has her hands on her hips which suggests a serious edge, and also her facial expression is subtly fierce yet is also engaging as she is making direct contact to the reader. This is engaging as she is at the same level as the reader, which makes them feel like they can relate and therefore make them appealed to purchase the magazine.
The costume was a simple, black outfit. This is indie as the colours mainly represented in that genre are dark colours. However, this also didn't draw any distraction away from the main image, which makes the image more powerful as it isn't too busy.
The mode of address isn't serious, and usually consists of puns, a play on words or is just plain playful and exciting. It is positive which encourages a happier mood, thus making the reader want to read on. Also, it is quite stereotypical as Indie isn't as serious as compared to classical, for example, as it is a lot more relaxed and not so intense.
