There are many different genres of music which magazines accompany for those needs today. For example, there is the Pop genre suited for the younger audience i.e. Top of the Pops to Rock for the older audience i.e. Kerrang. There are also other genres including:
-R 'n' B
-Hip Hop
-Electronic
-Indie
Due to such a range, this therefore means there is a higher demand for these publications. Also, because music today can be seen by anyone and can be accessed easily and instantly, this therefore establishes the range that the magazines aim for. Also, as new music genres develop this has created many new paths to be followed by the publications.
